Abstract submission is OPEN

  • All abstracts must be submitted in English or in German through the conference platform ConfTool
  • The use of the abstract template is mandatory. The abstract should be compiled without changing the styles defined in the attached abstract template 
  • The abstract should include the following sections: ‘Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References’ or: ‘Einleitung, Methoden, Ergebnisse, Diskussion, Hinweise, Referenzen’, respectively.
  • A list of the DGfB 2026 tracks (submission categories) is available in ConfTool
  • All abstracts will be evaluated by the members of DGfB Scientific Committee and a blind review process will be performed (two versions of the same abstract must be submitted: one with the list of authors and one with the header deleted). 
  • The abstract submitter can choose whether the contribution shall be considered for the Young Investigator Award or the Best Experimental Study Award. All posters will be automatically considered for the Best Poster Award
  • Accepted abstracts will be published on the conference website and in the electronic conference abstract book. By submitting your abstract, you consent to give DGfB 2026 Congress Secretariat the permission to publish it.
  • Abstracts template use is mandatory, please download the template here.
  • The abstract should be compiled without changing the styles (The easiest way to use this abstract form is by cutting and pasting unformatted text into each section to maintain the document’s present format.)
  • The abstract should include the following sections: Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, and References. 
  • The abstracts should be uploaded as PDF document through the conference platform ConfTool
