Conference Awards

Various awards will be granted for scientific contributions at the DGfB Conference 2026:

Young Investigator Award

Amount: €1 000, €750, and €500
Application: Please apply for this award when submitting your abstract.
Procedure: Based on a pre-selection, promising applicants will present their work in the Young Investigator Award Session. The best three presentations will be awarded prizes. The first author must not have reached the age of 35 at the time of the conference.

Best Poster Award

Amount: €750, €500, €250
Application: All poster contributions will automatically be considered by the award committee.
Procedure: Your poster contributions will be evaluated by an independent jury at the DGfB 2026 conference, and the three best contributions will receive awards.

Best Experimental Study Award – kindly sponsored by AMTI

Amount: €1000
Application: Please apply with your experimental work as part of the abstract submission.
Procedure: From the group of applications, the contributions will be evaluated by an independent jury at the DGfB 2026 conference and the best experimental contribution will be awarded a prize.

DGfB Awards

You can also apply for scholarships and awards from the DGfB in advance of the conference. The award winners will be announced and honored at the DGfB Conference 2026.

DGfB Travel Scholarships

Amount: Several €500 for your participation in national conferences and €1 000 for your participation in international conferences

DGfB Internship Grant – kindly sponsored by Ceramtec

Amount: €2500
Application: Please apply by January 31, 2026. Further details can be found by clicking on the award title.

DGfB Impact Paper

Amount: €1500
Application: Please apply by November 30, 2025. Further details can be found by clicking on the award title.
